Amazing Weekend Part 1

I slept from 4 am till 5:30 am on Thursday night, I had to pack I was excited 4 whole days off work... Up to that point i had only 8 days off since May 24th... I woke up my poor Dad to drive me to the bus stop.. *yawn* it was raining.. it was cool and I was exhausted... I got in the "bus" it was a cargo van for Greyhound... Climbed into the back with another girl who had a pillow... peace and quiet minus the two old ladies who did not stop narrating everything as it happened... two minutes outside of Grande Prairie and I was snoozing.. I woke up as the van bumped along this dirt track into a rest area. Some dude had a little too much to drink the previous night and needed the facilities...... I slipped back to sleep and next thing I knew I was stumbling out the swinging doors and Looking for Naomi... I spot her and we grab my bag and slide into her beautiful Honda Civic... It's a five speed... That's my girl!

She had just completed a 12 hour back shift at the hospital (she's a RN, full degree from St FX.), she was hungry so we swung over to Subway, for a quick bite before we both head to her place for a much desired sleep. I climb out of the car int eh parking lot, my eyes still heavy, and then I look up, it took my breath away.. The MOUNTAINS.. the majestic, paralysing Rockies...
