Effigy

I was going to describe the remainder of my weekend to you guys with mere words. That's' no fun. Instead you can just draw your own conclusions from these fantastic pictures chronicled here.

From the appearance of these pictures I'm not as abhorrent with a camera as I had assumed. I only published a few of the pictures representing a small portion of my trip and only the horizontal ones. I like taking pictures at weird angles... If you want more let me know and I can email them to you.

Here I am enjoying the waterfalls in my PJ's ( we were travelling they're comfortable).

Da Bear!

I will be back with more shortly.

I have a conundrum.....

I guess life is complicated and that's what makes it interesting.

I am trying to figure out how to post pictures on my blog.

I have the most amazing news, but I have to share it at some other point in time.

On another note I think I have four jobs now, all mainly bartending which I love doing so that's awesome.

I want to quickly fill you in on my previous fantastic weekend:

We went out last Friday night I was DD, I had bunches of fun, we did some dancing, my brother Dan dances EXACTLY like my brother Sean, bob and weave... It's cool, get them drunk enough to dance and they don't care, scary part I dance probably just as bad, except I do it SOBER!

Being out at a club was great. I love that the population here is 80% male, working males, working males who do labour related jobs... mmmmm MEN!

Mom, Dad, Laura and I departed between 8:30 and 9 am for Beautiful British Columbia, we hit Dawson Creek around 10ish and got our pictures taken at the start of the Alaskan Highway. Then we headed off towards Prince George, along the way we stopped to take some pictures of a bear and her 2 cubs beside the highway. We were right in the middle of the mountains I was captivated by how incredibly gorgeous it all is, the sun was shining the leaves are on all the trees it's nature in all it's glory...

Then we stopped to use the washroom (not too terrible for outhouses). Somewhere along the way I dozed off (I had been up till 3:30 in the morning!). The car suddenly stops and I wake up turn my head and see this stunning tall waterfall gushing over the mountain, it was called Bijoux Falls (Jewel Falls).

I walked up to the fence at the edge with all the warning signs about not climbing on the rocks because water makes rocks slippery (in case you are a dumbass and didn't realize this) felt the cool mist on my face and listened to the roar of the water pouring down the hill and over the rocks ....

I am off to watch Kinsey... Remind me to tell you about the other animals.

UBER AWESOME

I am hoping to post some pictures of my adventure through the Rockies, I took so many photos of mountains my parents and Laura were going to murder me.

I also have pictures of deer, big horned sheep, mountain goats (with their cute little white beards) and BEARS!

I will tell you all about it very soon, but first I have to get Laura to work and get ready for work myself, I just got a second job today.... I love my job, I already met some really fantastic people.

We are also having a poker party on Friday and I can't wait.

Bif Naked

That's right folks!

Thursday night, I held hands, for a brief moment, with none other than Bif Naked. I sang at the top of my lungs to almost every song, I was front row centre, and I had such a fantastic time.

She is very petite, that was the thing that surprised me the most was how small she actually is, but holy shit is she EVER in shape. She was crouched down in a ball and still not even a centimetre of skin to grab on her stomach, she is one of the FITTEST people I have ever seen.
Her body is absolutely incredible!

She put on a great show and will be touring across Canada in July to promote her new album, and I am hoping to catch her again.

I got myself a J-O-B after turning down five I found one that was acceptable, I have gotten calls for a few more and we'll see if I take on a few more. Though the best one may be in another city in British Columbia, which would be terrific.

Did I ever mention I am the luckiest girl on the planet? I was having some problems with something financially, and now it's all been taken care of, and I got to kinda help someone else out in the process. SO WICKED!

***I am still trying to chase you out of my thoughts. I have decided you are a hedgehog, with your sharp, abrasive exterior and soft, playful belly... That's right, a hedgehog. I seen one when I was in Calgary his name was Mortimer, you could have been a Mortimer.***

I had the most amazing weekend and want to tell you all about it, but it will have to wait because I am exhausted, and am heading to bed.

Crying

Last Sunday after chatting with Tanya.
When I hugged me Ma at bus depot.
In the bathroom of Triples after arguing with Laura.
While watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition, it gets me every time.
On the bus, thinking about life, the future and the last few days.
Watching Oprah, it was about meth addicts.
Last night after checking my email, I worry you know.

In case you couldn’t tell it’s “that dreaded time of the fucking month” so I get a little emotional, and irritated and just plain female. I went out and got rip roaring drunk, which included but was not limited to, dancing, playing pool, fighting, and flirting. Though I tried to go easy on the last one, since the alcohol definitely destroys the icky metre, and makes me feel like I am the hottest chick in the world.

Speaking of men, can I just take this opportunity to tell you how much I LOVE men… I do, of all shapes, sizes and ages, I can find something about almost every man that I like. Over half my friends are guys, for every really close chick friend I have ( one for each province I have lived) I have an equally close guy friend.

I have been thinking a lot about love lately, about being in love, the different types of love, and how it’s not a word I toss around lightly. I embrace it and I use it strongly to let my friends and family know how much they mean to me. I had a lot more I wanted to say but I got too involved in my messenger conversations with some great guy friends of mine and lost all track of what I was going to say so…

Now I am tired and I hope you all have a wonderful evening.

I start Adkins diet again in the morning.. I want to lose 40 pounds this summer… then I will only have 30 to go… wouldn’t it be awesome if I was back to my “normal” weight by Christmas.

Dirtbag is such a fun word, try it… DIRTBAG!

Spell checker in blogger is being a dick.

I ate an entire plate of strawberries today. mmmmmmmmmmmm. Strawberries, cantelope, grapes watermelon and honeydew. I seriously almost moaned out loud it was so amazing.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Hey Dudes

"The choices you make and the choices that are
When hell is so close and heavens so far"

-BLS

I have 3 job interviews tomorrow, I had one today, I terminated it promptly after discovering that the wages were rather low(hey I have to pay for my schooling). One job has the potential for a scholarship, which could be nice, the first interview is for Kelsey's a rather nice restaurant, with lounge. The third is for a liquor store that is literally 20 steps from my parents front door, Laura applied there as well.

My mother, Laura, my brother Daniel and I went to see the movie Crash tonight, I really enjoyed it, you should see it, yes you should!

I bought 2 books at Value Village yesterday, The Da Vinci Code and Anna Karenina to add to the list of books I hope to read this summer.

The sun shines till almost 10:30 pm, it was 22 degrees here today, I heard it was snowing in Cape Breton. hehehehe suckers!

Daniel says we can go road tripping on his next days off, heading East possibly to visit some friends in Saskatchewan, which has me very excited.

I have to be up at 10 am so I guess I should head to bed, it begin midnight and all...

Tom- bullet belts rule and did you get your "nose" pierced or your septum?

Does anyone know anything about the spice Adobo?

Sam- Prepare Moose Jaw for the roving travelers, I am excited to see you.

My hair has been French braided and pinned to my head for the last two days, it's very "cute".

My Daddy is coming home tomorrow I haven't seen him in almost a year, I know it sounds stupid, but I cried at the bus station when I seen my Mommy. My parents are pretty fucking awesome and I was a pretty big dickbag to them when I was younger.

I am proud of Kiddo, he got a promotion at work making loads of dough now, which is great for him, I hope he remembers to mail off my ROE.

If I could offer you 3 pieces of advice to live by people this woudl be it.

1. Love (First and foremost, this coming from teh girl who has never really "been in love" but I got all the other bases covered).

2. Never Regret - it's all a learning experience!

3. Travel this beautiful country.

"I am a Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, or free to choose those who shall govern my country. This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind."

-John Diefenbaker (From the Canadian Bill of Rights, July 1, 1960.)

So I lied

I have only been gone a week and I am already updating, so shoot me.

So the flight went well.. I slept to long on the first one to properly sleep through the second one. Jimi met us at the airport, guided us to the bus, onto the c-train and left us only when our cab came at the last rain stop. The cabbie did not know the area we were referring too, (my friend, Darren lives in McKenzie Lake the south East tip of the city) when we gave him the address.

We ended up at the wrong house with a dog (a mutt) and a security system.... The keys were supposed to be in the mailbox, we hunted for them for a bit before realizing that perhaps we had the wrong place? We began to walk, at 12 am in Calgary, it was a quaint neighbourhood, we happily discovered the proper street to be only 3 streets from were we were dropped. We found the key in the mailbox with a note that said, "make yourselves at home, there is warm food in the oven and beer in the he fridge. It was signed by Darren's brother's girlfriend, Darcy, if I had been gay I would have asked the woman to marry me. Food in the oven and Beer in the fridge, she's a New Brunswicker, Alright!

Tuesday we went traipsing around the city, looking for my friend, and just enjoying ourselves, Wednesday was more of the same, had a very good time caught some live music. Thursday we relaxed and checked out the local "park".

The bums are very polite here, one asked if we could provide him with some change we were not "emotionally attached to". Another had a sign that said, "I am out of work, hungry and ugly spare change?" Much better than the "Please support the SWE Foundation (Smoke Weed Everyday) sign I seen in Moncton.

I found what I have been searching for in every bizarro shop, a bullet belt.. I have been wanting one for sometime... (don't ask) but I have to wait till the Summer weight loss program kicks into high gear before I purchase it.

Speaking of food, I have become a quasi vegetarian out here... Laura only eats organic meat and seafood, and we have been sharing groceries, so that limits my food options, but it is slightly cheaper and I guess you have to be open to new experiences.

"Pie... Seaweed Pie"

-Old Dude in Maple Leaf commercial

(does anyone else remember that commercial or was it a delusional childhood thingy??)

I went out Saturday night alone in my catholic schoolgirl skirt and sandals, caught the C-train, and found my way to meet my Tanya. I meet some rather SKETCHY people.

We went out to "The Warehouse" an all night after hours club, we waited in line for almost an hour and one half, I complained Tanya reminded me I had waited in long lines for Hermans, so why not a big ass club like this. They played house, and loads of it, all night long...

We stepped outside to sunshine at 8:45 am. My feet were SOOOOOOOOOOO Sore! We got back to her friends place at 10:30 and I fell asleep on the couch. I was exhausted.

I forgot to tell you why I was exhausted.

We went to Canmore and Banff on Saturday morning... That's right folks I seen the Rockies in all their glory, I hiked (man I'm outta shape) down this place where people were "climbing" solid rock faces, and the hike back up was tiring. It was breathtakingly beautiful, I felt completely insignificant next to those huge snow covered beasts reaching high into the sky.

The altitude change has made Laura freeze, and my alcohol tolerance completely eliminated. One pint of draft and I am smiling like a Cheshire cat, slurring my words and waving my hands like a possessed Frenchman.

I have ate more fish out west in the past week then I did in the past 5 months in NB, but I'm a weirdo and what did you expect.

This has been an insanely long ramble;e I didn't even get to tell you about the waterfalls, or my broken sunglasses, listening to William Shatner and eating hummus like it was mashed potatoes. I also didn't' fill you in on the joys of the Calgary transportation systems, how my crane fascination has been overloaded, and the drunken Hughie pool playing character from Antigonish, who doesn't quite get the meaning of the word No!

I am off to Edmonton tomorrow, catching the 6:30 am bus, to meet "Me Ma" (for the record she hates when i call her that) and possibly check out the "West Edmonton Mall" (not my idea of a good time but it's one of the things to see when you come to Alberta so we will dutifully do it, I HATE MALLS).

We are also supposed to meet up with Aimee for supper, which I didn't' realize Jaclyn hadn't arrived yet so we will have to rectify that when she arrives and have supper with her as well.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo

AND!

(I will shut up shortly)

My parents may possibly be taking off the first two weeks of June to head to British Columbia, my grandma is flying out with my moms best friend for some Lodge(woman's organization) thingy. We are going to meet up with them, and stay at my great uncles (who is fairly loaded and owns a big ole boat, so we possibly could go boating in the Pacific ocean, I am so excited I could pee). Plus it would be awesome to visit with my grandma, and tomorrow is my dads birthday....

Happy Birthday Daddio!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you!!!!!!! I think he turned 33, but I could be off by 20 years or so?????

I hope this was somewhat sensible, though I highly doubt it since I was the one who wrote it......

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!
